Oppo is gearing up to launch new mid-range smartphones in the Indian markets. This will include the Oppo F29 and the Oppo F29 Pro. Both of these smartphones will be released on March 20. Ahead of the launch, specifications of the devices have surfaced online, particularly for the Oppo F29 Pro. The smartphone is expected to be pretty durable and can be priced in the sub-30,000 category. Here’s everything we know about the Oppo F29 Pro ahead of its launch.
Oppo F29 Pro expected specifications
Oppo has not confirmed a lot of details but it has shared that both the devices in the series will come with IP68 as well as IP69 rating, which makes them resistant to dust, water, and high-pressure jets from all directions. This ensures better longevity and protection against accidental spills or submersion.
Now leaks suggest that the Oppo F29 Pro can feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with up to 120Hz. Furthermore, it is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, the same chipset found in devices like the Oppo Reno 12 Pro and Vivo T4x. It can come in three storage variants- 8GB RAM+128GB storage, 8GB RAM+256GB storage, and 12GB RAM+256GB storage.
On the camera front, we can expect to see a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and another 2-megapixel secondary camera. For selfies, it can house a 16-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
Battery life could be a key highlight, with leaks suggesting a 6,000mAh battery paired with 80W fast charging.
Expected pricing
If rumours are to be believed, the Oppo F29 Pro can start at Rs 30,000. The number should be around this unless Oppo decides to surprise us.
