Oppo seems to be launching a new smartphone in the market and that is the Oppo A79 5G. In the latest development, the smartphone has been spotted in the Google Play Supported Devices list. Earlier, the same smartphone appeared on the NBTC certification website. The specifications of the smartphone also surfaced on the internet previously.
The Oppo A79 5G was spotted by MySmartPrice in the Google Play Supported Devices list with the model numbers CPH2553 and A303OP. Previously, the smartphone also appeared on the TDRA, IMDA, FCC, and TUV Rheinland certification websites with the model number CPH2553. However, the A303OP model number was seen here on the Google Play list for the first time. This could mean that this different model could launch in some different markets.

The smartphone has been surfacing on the certifications website one by one, leading to an imminent launch. However, the brand has yet to come up with an official announcement on the Oppo A79 5G and we could expect this to happen soon.
Oppo A79 5G tipped specifications
As I mentioned above, the smartphone previously surfaced on the internet by tipster Sudhanshu in an Appuals report, which revealed the key specifications and design as well. The Oppo A79 5G was seen in the leak with two colour options; Glowing Green and Mystery Black. There could be a big rectangular camera module on the back that houses two camera rings and an LED flashlight.

Speaking of the specifications, the Oppo A79 5G might be equipped with a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution. Furthermore, the smartphone could support up to 90Hz refresh rate.
It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. You might also see it running on ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 OS. It will most likely pack a 5000mAh battery with 33-watt fast charging support.
