OnePlus starts rolling out OxygenOS 4.5.10 update for OnePlus 5

OnePlus has started rolling out the incremental OxygenOS version 4.5.10 update for OnePlus 5 users. The update is issued mainly for a quick fix of bugs, improvements in camera and some minor network and call related issues. There are no new features associated with this update. As before, the update is incremental and is being rolled out in phases.

The OxygenOS 4.5.10 update brings about camera improvements such as noise reduction in photos, improved camera stability and texture improvements in 60fps video recordings. One interesting highlight of the build is that users will now be able to see country information of photographers whose pictures feature in the launcher. Some users reported of accidental touch after ending a call, the update resolves this issue as well. The update also improves Jio call functionality.

The update also gives the phone better Wi-Fi stability and fixes a display issue for the new font introduced in the previous update. Also, the problem arising with the clarity of video taken via SnapShot has been fixed along with scrolling issues in Play music.

Various reports of bugs had come in soon after the OnePlus 5 was launched back in June. The most immediate one, in the US was increased battery drainage after placing emergency calls to 911. After the recent update, reports of lag in gaming performance started emerging, however, OnePlus has already released updates for patching the problem.

The OnePlus 5 was launched in India in June 2017 for Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED Capacitive Touchscreen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered by a 2.5 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform and is available in two variants – 6GB RAM and 64GB storage and 8GB RAM coupled with 128GB storage. The OnePlus 5 sports a 20MP+16 MP shooter at the back with 4K Video Recording and a 16MP front facing camera.
