OnePlus, on Thursday, June 15 kicked-off its new initiative, the OnePlus Road Trip – Futurebound. The initiative aims to showcase OnePlus' latest technologies across India, with the help of two mobile stores or pop-up experience centers, which will drive across 25 cities in the country, covering both North and South Indian regions.
Apart from the latest OnePlus devices like the limited edition OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey Edition, the OnePlus 11, OnePlus Pad, OnePlus monitors, and other smartphones, the company also showcased the very hyped OnePlus Concept Phone, along with a very cool and futuristic OnePlus 5G Sketchbot that demonstrates the power of 5G connectivity by drawing any sketch you ask this robotic arm to. Very cool. Let us take a look at some of the most fascinating things we saw at the OnePlus Road Trip kick-off in Delhi:
The OnePlus Concept Phone, which was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. The smartphone demonstrates what the OEM's next-gen active cooling system will look like. The OnePlus Concept's design allows users to see the liquid flowing through the smartphone via the back panel and we also see liquid flowing through the blue ring outlining the smartpones' camera module.
We don't know if the liquid around camera will cool things down, but we do know that the liquid that you see flowing through the smartphone isn't really cooling the smartphone. Yes, there is liquid flowing through the smartphone, but this liquid isn't really cooling the device. Basically, this is OnePlus' way of showing how this technology could look if and when it becomes mainstream.
We also got to witeness another cool thing, the OnePlus 5G Sketchbot. This is basically a robotic arm, which has attachments to put different kinds of pencils and pens, and it draws anything you ask it to! We got to experience this bot by giving it a sketch on the OnePlus Pad, the latest tablet from OnePlus, and the bot replicated our sketch on a piece of paper using nothing but a marker!
The 5G Sketchbot is OnePlus' way of demonstrating the potential that 5G unlocks. This includes real-time commands that you give it via any device that the sketchbot is connected with. During OnePlus' showcase, the Sketchbot was connected to the company's OnePlus Pad.
