OnePlus has revealed that it paid more than $300,000 to get the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, and OnePlus X featured in the fourth season of Netflix’s House of Cards. The company revealed the amount in a post on its official Weibo account. While it isn’t new for companies to opt for product placement in TV shows, it is rare for a company to reveal how much it paid. OnePlus must be hoping for the shows popularity to make its devices a more recognisable brand in the US and the world.
The new season of the popular series premiered on March 4 on Netflix and sees Kevin Spacey return as Frank Underwood, the President of the United States of America. The season consists of 13 episodes and the entire series can be binge-watched on Netflix. Another popular show by Netflix, Daredevil, will also premier with its new season this month. The second season of Daredevil is scheduled to air on March 18 and will also consist of 13 episodes.
