OnePlus has finally launched the much-awaited smartphone from the brand, the Open. The OnePlus Open is the first foldable smartphone from the Chinese brand and is said to be the global version of the Oppo Find N3, which also launched today in China exclusively. The smartphone has one unique design feature: ‘Alert Slider’. This is the first smartphone that comes with an alert slider to put the smartphone in “silent, vibrate, and ring” mode.

Now that the smartphone has been rolled out in the Indian market, I am comparing the OnePlus Open with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Let’s see how it goes.

On the back, it has a huge circular camera module that houses a triple camera setup and features ‘H’ for Hasselblad branding. Furthermore, it also features an IPX4 rating against water.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 measures 154.9 x 129.9 x 6.1 mm in the unfolded state and weighs 253 grams. It comes in five colours that are Icy Blue, Phantom Black, Cream, Gray, and Blue. Looking at the back, you’ll see three camera rings placed vertically in a compact cylindrical camera island.
