Even though OnePlus has not officially confirmed anything yet, rumours suggest that we can expect a new foldable from the company soon. Word on the street is that OnePlus Open 2 can be a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N5 which will make its global debut soon.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, who took to Weibo to share these leaks. Oppo Find N5 is already in its testing phase. This time the company is also addressing some of the key complaints that arose with its predecessors. So the new foldable smartphone can drop in a few months.
Speaking of the design first, the OnePlus Open 2 can feature an IPX8 rating for water resistance. It can also feature “an anti-fall body structure, to make it more durable. Furthermore, it is rumored to be thinner, lighter, and offer better battery life—key improvements for any foldable phone.
On the performance front, the OnePlus Open 2 can run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This will give it a notable boost in speed and efficiency compared to the OnePlus Open’s older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
For cameras, the OnePlus Open 2 can feature a triple camera setup with all three 50-megapixel lenses, which includes a periscope telephoto lens. This time, we might also get to see wireless charging on the OnePlus Open 2.
