OnePlus is holding a contest on social media inviting users to try and win a OnePlus 2 Invite by answering puzzles, quizzes and trivia questions.
OnePlus is offering 3,000 invitations to buy the OnePlus 2 through an event it calls #InviteCarnival. Users are free to try and win a OnePlus 2 Invite by answering puzzles, quizzes, and trivia questions. The contest can be accessed via OnePlus’ social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
OnePlus has laid down some rules and stipulations for the event. Only one entry per contest will considered and only one invite will be shared with a contestant. However, users are free to participate in as many contests as they want. OnePlus also states that a defined number of winners will selected on the basis of first come first served. It has also asked users to refrain from taking anyone’s help as “fair play is always best.”
The event starts from today and will go on for two days. If you miss the chance to get one of the 3,000 invites that are up for grabs, OnePlus has said that they will roll out more invites.
The OnePlus 2 was launched in India a few months ago. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 810 processor. There is a 13MP camera at the back with laser autofocus and Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). In the front is a 5MP camera with a wide angle lens. The phone comes with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port. It runs on Oxygen OS layered over Android v5.1.
In related new, renders of a rumored OnePlus X (Mini) leaked yesterday. Going by the leaked renders, the phone could have dual-camera setup at the back as well as dual-LED flash. It could also have a metal frame with two speaker grills located at the bottom. Details about the hardware are yet unknown as of now. OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei had said that the company would be releasing a new phone by the end of the year. When asked about the second OnePlus phone coming out this year he said, “Let’s just say that OnePlus 2 will be the only flagship phone for 2015. We believe in making few but great products and will never bloat up our product lines.”
