OnePlus has launched a sandstone case for the iPhone. The case is available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s only. It is priced at $20 (Rs. 1,400 approx). As of writing this article, there is no information available on an India launch for the case, which gives users the same feeling that you’d get if you have used a OnePlus One or OnePlus 2.
We have extensively used the OnePlus smartphones, and after a long time of use, the textured sandstone finish starts wearing off. It remains to be seen if the same will happen with the OnePlus iPhone case. What also remains to be seen is how many iPhone users would like to invest in a case that has Android written all over it. Not literally, of course, but the OnePlus logo is easily identifiable.
OnePlus has been in the news this past week for a number of reasons. To begin with, the company launched its Icons earphones in India. The new pair of earphones will be available via Amazon India for Rs 2,999. OnePlus already has the Silver Bullet earphones in the Indian market, which are priced at Rs. 899. For those looking to pick up a brand new OnePlus smartphone, the company has announced exchange offers for its devices. The exchange program is available for all three of its devices, through a partnership with ReGlobe. To avail the offer, users will have to visit ReGlobe’s page, or register on OnePlus’ page to check if their device is listed.
Recent news also suggests that the official CyanogenMod may be under development for the OnePlus 2. OnePlus also addressed the recent USB Type-C compatibility issue with third party devices, and is offering an opportunity to apply for a refund.
The last smartphone from OnePlus to launch in India was the OnePlus X. The device has a nice form factor, and boasts of commendable features. We pit the camera of the OnePlus X against the Nexus 6P and iPhone 6s, and you can check out the results here.
