Oneplus launches its Icon earphones in India

OnePlus Icon in-ear earphones will be available from today on Amazon at a price of Rs 2,999

OnePlus Icon in-ear earphones which were recently launched in the US for $50 are now coming to India. The new earphone will be available from today via Amazon India at a price of Rs 2,999. OnePlus already has the Silver Bullets earphones in the Indian market which are priced at Rs. 899.

OnePlus recently revealed that they will be launching the OnePlus Icon in India on 30th November on the OnePlus forums. The post says that the new earphones are inspired from the king of the music instruments, the organ piano. Like the Silver bullets, the Icon are also made out of Aluminium. OnePlus states that the Icon earphones are light, sturdy and have a meticulously polished finish.

As for the specs, the OnePlus Icon have a 11mm driver unit unlike the 9mm one which is widely used by other earphone makers. The SPL level is 110 dB and the rated power of these new earpieces is 5mW. The impedance of the earphone is 32 Ohms. It has a 1.2m long cable and comes in two colour variants Gold and Graphite. Although, It is still not clear if OnePlus will launch both colour variants in India. Also, The copper wires used in the earphone have enamel coating to give better output. The earphone also has in-line microphone with dedicated volume controls.

It’s like a live concert experience every time.”, states OnePlus about the sound quality, on its Icon product page.

The company says that each pair of earphones pass 21 rounds of quality test and only which pass the quality check with “flying colours” are offered to the consumers.
