OnePlus’s first foldable smartphone is creating quite a buzz on the internet these days. OnePlus has named its first book-styled foldable smartphone, ‘the Open’. We have seen it in so many rumours and leaks so far but now the brand has finally announced the smartphone. OnePlus India has confirmed the OnePlus Open to launch in India soon. This smartphone is said to be the global version of the Oppo Find N3, which will launch in the coming days in China exclusively.

OnePlus India teased the foldable smartphone on X (formerly Twitter), which revealed some of its design. We now know that the smartphone will have the ‘ OnePlus’ signature ‘Alert Slider’. The smartphone is in a semi-folded state in the teaser and it has the alert slider on the left side of the frame, volume rockers, and a power button on the right when opened.
OnePlus Indian teased the smartphone finally, meaning the smartphone could arrive soon. Reports on the internet are suggesting that it could debut in India on October 19. However, we are still waiting to hear from OnePlus.
OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone is expected to feature a 7.82-inch foldable and 6.31-inch cover OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Speaking of the performance, it is rumoured to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with up to 16GB RAM. A 4,805mAh battery might power this smartphone with a 100-watt fast charging support.
For photography, it will reportedly use a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel secondary camera (most probably Ultrawide lens), and a 64-megapixel Telephoto sensor.
For the front camera, reports are claiming that there could be a 32-megapixel selfie shooter or a 20-megapixel selfie shooter. However, we think that the OnePlus Open might sport both these sensors, one on the cover display and one on the foldable display.
