A previous report tipped OnePlus is planning to launch the OnePlus 7T first in India on September 26, 2019.
The fact that OnePlus is working on the OnePlus 7T is no big deal. What’s surprising is what the OnePlus 7T will look like and how it will be different from the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. The rumour mill is already underway revealing information around the phone’s features and design. The latest leak, in fact, gives us a good look at how the OnePlus 7T will look different from its predecessor.
For one, the OnePlus 7T will sport a circular camera module, based on the leaked design schematic shared by noted tipster Evan Blass, in reply to another leakster’s post on Twitter. The leak shows the OnePlus 7T sporting a big, round camera module, positioned centrally right above the OnePlus logo. The edges of the phone in the leak have well rounded corners, in line with the curved display of the OnePlus 7 Pro. Could this then be the OnePlus 7T Pro? We’re not very sure at this moment.
The leak was in response to another leaked photo posted by a tipster, way back in 2018. The leaked photo is seemingly from a meeting room with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. On the display is a smartphone, red in colour, sporting a black camera bump on the back. Back then, many presumed this would be the OnePlus 7, which turned out to have a design similar to the OnePlus 6T while the OnePlus 7 Pro came with a completely different outlook, replete with a curved OLED display, pop-up selfie camera and a triple-camera setup on the back. Now with Blass chiming in with his own schematics of the same phone, the case for the OnePlus 7T series sporting a circular camera module becomes stronger.
A previous report tipped OnePlus is planning to launch the OnePlus 7T first in India on September 26, 2019. The date is still not officially confirmed, however, and may change. Based on speculations, the OnePlus 7T will also include the OnePlus 7T Pro and might come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Whether there will be an upgrade in the camera hardware remains to be seen.
