The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are big newsmakers of the day. Not only did OnePlus CEO Pete Lau divulge fresh details about an “all-new” display coming to the OnePlus 7 Pro, he confirmed that the company is indeed launching two phones – the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro with 5G. We also saw some leaked specs of the two upcoming OnePlus flagships today and are currently awaiting the promised announcement from the company regarding the launch date of the devices.
Now, OnePlus India has revealed that an announcement is slated for 6:30 PM today. OnePlus has scheduled a YouTube Premiere slated to begin at 6:30 PM India time. The description of the premiere reads, “Sometimes we forget the significance of a number. An icon of perfection and beauty, destined only for greatness. Here's our 7.” In a comment on the YouTube Premiere video, OnePlus has said that the launch date of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be announced during the YouTube Premiere.

OnePlus’ premium flagship, the OnePlus 7 Pro, is rumoured to come equipped with a 6.7-inch curved Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display sports a 90Hz refresh rate, a screen resolution of 3120×1440 pixels, and a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio. It will feature the Snapdragon 855 chipset with the X50 modem for 5G connectivity. The phone could come with a triple rear camera setup that consist of a 48MP main camera with f/1.6 aperture and OIS support, an 8MP sensor that is paired with f/2.4 aperture lens capable of 3x zoom, and a 16MP wide-angle camera with 117 degrees could also be present. A pop-up selfie camera is expected to feature on the OnePlus 7 Pro.
In contrast, the OnePlus 7 is tipped to stick with dual cameras. It could get a 48MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary depth sensor. The same Snapdragon 855 SoC is expected on the OnePlus 7, but without 5G capabilities.
The OnePlus 7 Pro could see 6GB and 12GB RAM variants with 128GB and 256GB of storage, respectively. Further, the OnePlus 7 Pro could be a 4000mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge support, whereas the OnePlus 7 could be backed by a 3700mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging.
