OnePlus is usually quick when it comes to releasing updates for its handsets. Its OnePlus 6/6T and the OnePlus 7/7Pro smartphones are already on ṭhe latest version of Android and the company is now releasing the new OxygenOS 10.0.3 update for the latter handsets. OnePlus posted an update on its forum for the patch, which is an incremental update. As per the changelog, there aren’t any features being added but the Android security patch of the phones is being updated to November 2019. Additionally, the update brings improved system stability and general bug fixes.
As per OnePlus, the new update will be rolled out in phases and thus, it could take some time for the patch to be made available on your phone. However, you can perform a force check for the update by heading over to Settings, Software Update and manually checking for it. Do note that while the update is said to be incremental, it is about 2GB in size and can eat into your data plan.
In other OnePlus news, the company is reportedly working on its own truly wireless earphones, which are expected to compete with the Apple AirPods Pro. A tipster recently hinted that the audio device is in the pipeline and posted a concept image. While that is not much to go on by, it was enough to launch a flurry of speculations. Currently, OnePlus’ rivals Samsung, Huawei and Apple have come out with the Galaxy Buds, Free Buds, and AirPods Pro, respectively. Realme is also launching Realme Buds Air truly wireless earphones on December 17.
Speaking of the upcoming Realme Buds, they are confirmed to feature a design similar to the Apple AirPods. The device’s case is also confirmed to be capable of charging wirelessly. You can read more about the upcoming device here.
