The open sale commences at 12PM today on Amazon and OnePlus' online India store. The OnePlus 5T was unveiled globally on November 16 and was earlier offered via a limited preview sale on Amazon.
OnePlus’s latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5T (review) goes on open sale today via Amazon and the OnePlus' online store. The smartphone was unveiled on November 16 and went up for early access and preview sales in India on November 21 and November 24 respectively. Today’s open sale will commence at 12PM.
The OnePlus 5T is on sale comes with some lucrative launch offers by both Amazon and OnePlus. Buying the smartphone using HDFC Bank Debit and Credit Cards will avail an instant Rs 1,500 discount. Idea is offering 1008GB 4G data for 18 months with the device, however, users will have to perform a recharge of Rs 357 for 18 months.
Additionally, Servify is offering free accidental and liquid damage protection insurance worth Rs 2,000 with the device, however, the offer is only valid only if the buyer opens a Kotak 811 Account. Customers will also get Rs 500 promotion credit for Kindle ebooks by signing in their Amazon account and Rs 250 Amazon Pay balance by streaming via Prime Video app on the OnePlus 5T.
The second 2017 flagship by the company, the OnePlus 5T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and runs on OxygenOS 4.7.2 on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It sports a 6.01-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. OnePlus has promised an Oreo update for the smartphone by early next year and said that the beta Oreo build will be released for it by December.
The OnePlus 5T features a dual rear camera setup with 16MP+20MP sensors. Both sensors are equipped with the same f/1.7 aperture lens and have 27.22mm focal length. The new camera configuration is said to capture much lowlight and portrait images than its predecessor. It also comes with a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture (camera comparison). The device is backed by a 3300mAh battery and supports the company's Dash Charge fast charging technology.
The OnePlus 5T is available in a 6GB RAM/64GB ROM variant priced at Rs 32,999 and the 8GB RAM/128GB ROM configuration is priced at Rs 37,999.
