OnePlus might announce matte black colour variant of its OnePlus 3T smartphone later today. The company announced a limited edition matte black OnePlus 3T colette edition last week and today's announcement could be a global variant. The Chinese smartphone maker has started teasing the launch on its Twitter account and we could finally see a regular black colour option added to OnePlus 3T's existing gold and gunmetal colour options.
OnePlus 3T continues to be one of the best rated smartphones in the market right now and matte black colour option will help it reach even wider audience. For record, OnePlus 3T colette edition was made available in limited 250 units and was sold via colette's pop-up shop in Paris. The new variant could be made available immediately in India considering the company is running a countdown on its site.
To recall, OnePlus 3T comes in soft gold and gunmetal colour variants with soft gold option limited to 64GB storage. The handset sports a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. There is 6GB RAM, Android 7.1 Nougat-based Oxygen OS 4.1 and large 3400mAh battery.
OnePlus 3T also sports an updated 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera continues to be a 16MP sensor with updated electronic image stabilisation coupled with optical stabilisation for smoother video recording. OnePlus could make the matte black option available only in 128GB storage option and price the handset at Rs 34,999 like existing variant.
