The move is presumably to make way for the upcoming OnePlus 5, while both the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 will continue to receive software updates

With the launch of the OnePlus 5 just round the corner, the company might be planning to make some room in its inventory. In a post on the company's forum, the company annoucned that the OnePlus 3T was being discontinued and there a were only a few devices left in their warehouses. The company also took this opportunity to thank both users and the media for the success of the device.

The OnePlus 3T, which was launched last November, is slated to be replaced by the OnePlus 5, which will be launching this summer. The post assures users that software support for the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 will continue. HOwever, it should be noted that the company was recently under fire from OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X customers, who still have not received newer updates.

As for the OnePlus 5, which is going to be the company’s next “flagship killer”, we already know that it will be powered by a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 platform. It is also safe to assume that it will be available in more than one colour option this time. Rumours suggest that the phone will offer 8GB of RAM along with 128GB storage on its higher variant, and 6GB RAM with 64GB on the base variant. The phone is tipped to feature a 3600mAh battery and OnePlus might equip it with a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The biggest change however could be in the imaging department, which is rumored to sport a dual camera setup, with 12MP cameras with dual-pixel autofocus technology.
