Even more images said to be of the OnePlus 3 have been posted online. The images have been posted by Weibo user, @KJuma and show the device from multiple angles. Judging by the images, the company may finally ditch the sandstone back that it used on the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2 smartphone and opt for a metal back instead. In addition, it seems like OnePlus will stick with a USB Type-C port, which was first used in the OnePlus 2, and the port will be located at the bottom, next to the 3.5mm audiojack. One of the images also shows the ‘Alert Slide’ that OnePlus has used in the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X.
A few days back, images allegedly showing the display and bootloader of the OnePlus 3 were also leaked. The device is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2016 with a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The upcoming smartphone is tipped to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and might be available in 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants. The two variants might feature 64GB and 128GB of storage respectively. The OnePlus 3 is also rumoured to sport 16MP and 8MP cameras along with a 3500mAh battery. Earlier this month, it was reported that OnePlus had filed for a trademark with the USPTO for the name ‘Dash Charge’, which may be the name of the company’s own fast charging technology.
