OnePlus started the year with the launch of its flagship OnePlus 13 series globally. Both the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R which were a part of the series were pretty well received. However, it seems like that wasn’t the end for OnePlus there. If reports are to be believed, OnePlus is currently gearing up to extend the OnePlus 13 lineup. And this time, it is going to be a compact phone. As per reports, the Chinese smartphone maker is currently working on a compact smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The compact smartphone was initially rumoured to be called the OnePlus 13 Mini, however, fresh leaks indicate that the company might launch it as the OnePlus 13T. If rumours are to be believed, the OnePlus 13T is expected to feature a different design language while maintaining flagship-level performance.
OnePlus 13T: Expected Features and Launch Timeline
While OnePlus hasn’t confirmed anything officially yet, the OnePlus 13T is expected to debut in Q2 of 2025. In terms of specifications, it can closely mirror the OnePlus 13, but in a more compact form factor. It will reportedly house the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring top-tier performance for users who prefer a smaller smartphone. Leaks suggest that the device will feature a 6.3-inch display, which is notably smaller than the 6.8-inch panel on the OnePlus 13.
For cameras, the OnePlus 13T is expected to carry a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Moreover, recent reports from NoteBook Check suggest that the OnePlus 13T’s camera module may resemble the vertical camera layout of the upcoming iPhone 16 series.
If reports are to be believed, the OnePlus 13T can make its debut before the next Nord series devices, which typically arrive between May and July.
