OnePlus announced earlier this week that it will launch its flagship OnePlus 13 in India in January 2025. Along with the OnePlus 13, we will get to see its more affordable brother the OnePlus 13R. Both of these smartphones have been launched in China already and the smartphone is known as the OnePlus Ace 5. From its Chinese debut, and the multiple leaks that are circulating on the internet, we have a good idea of what to expect from it.

Here are five things that we know about the OnePlus 13R ahead of its launch.

Display

The OnePlus 13R is expected to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels. It can come with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and 450 PPI. We might get to see a higher peak brightness compared to the predecessor OnePlus 12R.

Processor

The OnePLus 13R can be powered by last year’s flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. So good performance is something we can expect.

Camera

The OnePlus 13R can pack a triple camera setup. This can include a 50-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and another 50-megapixel sensor. The front will house a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Battery

As is the trend of the season, the OnePlus 13R can also pack a bigger 6000mAh battery. However, it will support 80W fast charging, slightly slower than the 100W charging found in the OnePlus 12R.

Software and Features

The OnePlus 13R can feature OxygenOS 15.0 based on Android 15. With this, you will get to use features like Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, and an infrared remote control function.

For now, let’s take these features with a pinch of salt as OnePlus can make some changes with the Indian variant.
