After Xiaomi and iQOO, now OnePlus has also launched its next-gen flagship smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. I am talking about the most-anticipated OnePlus 13 that has rolled out in China. The Chinese brand is expected to launch the OnePlus 13 in India and other markets in the coming weeks. The OnePlus 13 is packed with some noticeable upgrades over its predecessor, the OnePlus 12.
If we talk about the design first, this is one thing that hasn’t changed a lot. By the looks of it, the OnePlus 13 looks quite similar to the OnePlus 12. There is still a lifted circular camera ring on the back, however the frame is boxy this time. The OnePlus 13 also comes with a flat display, unlike the OnePlus 12’s curved display.
Now, let’s talk about its features and pricing.
The OnePlus 13 features a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution. This display supports 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Next, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which has two prime cores clocked at 4.32 GHz and six performance cores clocked at 3.53 GHz. Further, OnePlus is offering this device with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage in China. It runs on the latest Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.
For photography, it features a triple camera setup, holding a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens.
And lastly, the OnePlus 13 is packed with a 6000mAh battery and it supports up to 100-watt fast charging, 50-watt wireless fast charging, and also magnetic wireless charging, just like MagSafe in iPhones.
Now, here comes the real twist. The Chinese brand launched the OnePlus 13 with a slightly increased pricing than its predecessor. The OnePlus 12 was launched in China for CNY 4,299 (approx. Rs 50,000). However, the OnePlus 13 rolls out in China at a starting price of CNY 4,499 (approx. Rs 53,000).
