OnePlus 13 vs OnePlus 12: Price, features, specifications and everything else

OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus 13 lineup in India, which includes the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R. The OnePlus 13 has been launched with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and there are a few more changes in comparison to its predecessor, the OnePlus 12. Apart from the hardware, the pricing has been changed too. The OnePlus 13 rolls out in India at a starting price of Rs 69,999, but initially, it is available for Rs 64,999 as a launch discount. Last year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 12 at a starting price of Rs 64,999, which means there is a Rs 5000 price hike this year.

OnePlus 13 vs OnePlus 12
First and foremost, the OnePlus 13 comes with a new design, featuring a more boxy frame unlike the OnePlus 12 which has a curved design. The weight and thickness have also been reduced on the OnePlus 13, and it features an IP68/69 rating. Whereas, the OnePlus 12 comes with an IP65 rating.
Furthermore, the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 12 both feature a 6.82-inch QHD+ display, which supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, but on the OnePlus 13, you get an OLED panel and an AMOLED panel on the OnePlus 13. Even the peak brightness on both phones is up to 4500 nits. However, the OnePlus 13’s panel comes with Ultra HDR image, HDR Vivid, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 10-bit colour support. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12 does not have Ultra HDR image and HDR vivid support from the above-mentioned features.
Moving on to the performance, the OnePlus 13 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is paired with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is coupled with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
For photography, you get a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the OnePlus 13, which includes a primary camera, a periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and an ultrawide lens. But, the OnePlus 12 has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor, and a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens. On the front, both smartphones feature a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
Lastly, the OnePlus 13 is packed with a 6000mAh battery that supports 100-watt fast charging, 50-watt wireless charging, 10-watt reverse wireless charging, and 5-watt reverse wired charging. On the other hand, a 5400mAh battery powers the OnePlus 12 and it supports 100-watt fast charging, 50-watt wireless charging, and 10-watt reverse wireless charging as well.
