Rumours all around the internet are suggesting that the OnePlus 13 will launch in October. If they are to be believed then there is not much time when OnePlus rolls out its next-generation smartphone. The OnePlus 13 will reportedly pack significant upgrades in comparison to the OnePlus 12. Based on leaks, this smartphone will be packed with a bigger battery, a stronger processor, a new design, as well as better display. In this article, I will tell you what upgrades the OnePlus 13 can pack over the OnePlus 12.
Firstly, let’s talk about the design. An X account that goes by the name ‘OnePlus Club’ has posted many leaks of this smartphone. According to those leaks, the Chinese smartphone maker can revamp the camera module of the OnePlus 13. We might see a verticle camera island, housing a triple camera. There will be three camera rings and the main lens in the middle will be bigger than the other other. Of course, there will be Hasselblad branding on the camera island, and the LED flash can be placed outside.
Moving on, the OnePlus 13 might also follow the flat display design like the Pixel 9 series and Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
Coming to its display, the OnePlus 13 will reportedly feature the same size of display but it is said to be a better one. It can be a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display, which can be a BOE display. For those who don’t know, BOE is a major Chinese company that specialises in the design and manufacturing of display panels.
A few days back, Li Jie Louis, President of OnePlus China, posted on Weibo that the upcoming flagship device will come with the “latest generation of flagship chips.” This suggests that the OnePlus 13 might be powered by Qualcomm’s next Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. This will not only give the OnePlus 13 more power over its predecessor but also give it AI capabilities. Along with that, OnePlus is also rumoured to be developing a 6000mAh battery that will be used in its upcoming flagship phones.
For photography, it might be equipped with a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, which can include a new 1/1.95-inch Sony LYT periscope sensor with up to 3x optical zoom.
So, these are all OnePlus 13 details that are surfacing on the internet. However, I would suggest you take it as a pinch of salt because it’s not official yet. So stay tuned until OnePlus rolls out its new phones and keep coming back here for more updates on the same.
