OnePlus 13 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the season. It has been launched in China already and will soon make its way to the global as well as the Indian market. It will most likely happen in early 2025, as the previous generations of smartphones were launched around January. Ahead of the launch, we know a lot about the smartphone, thanks to the Chinese release. Here are 5 major upgrades that we can get to see.
5 major upgrades on OnePlus 13
The OnePlus 13 looks similar to the OnePlus 12, however, it has a slightly refreshed design. This time, OnePlus is doing away with the curved display this time and has introduced flat sides and a flat display. You will get to see leather or glass finishes on the back. It comes in colours like Blue, Obsidian, and White.
On the display front, most of the specs are probably going to be the same. We can get to see a 6.82-inch QHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering up to 1,600 nits in high brightness mode and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The device will now support a “local high refresh rate,” allowing it to adjust to different refresh rates for optimised performance during tasks like video streaming and scrolling.
The smartphone goes heavy on performance. It will be among the first set of smartphones to feature Snapdragon’s latest 8 Elite chipset. We can get improved CPU, GPU, and AI performance with it.
For cameras, OnePlus has again partnered with Hasselblad. It retains the 50MP main camera from the OnePlus 12 but upgrades both telephoto and ultrawide lenses to 50MP. It also has enhanced low-light capabilities and 4K/60fps Dolby Vision video.
Last year we saw a 5,400mAh battery on the OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 13 gets a bigger 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, plus magnetic wireless charging compatibility via cases.
