OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13 in China. The Chinese brand usually launches its numbered series flagship smartphone first in its home country and then a couple of weeks later, globally. The OnePlus 13 will debut in China on October 31, and this is not the only detail the brand has revealed. According to many posts on X (formerly Twitter), it seems like OnePlus hosted an event ahead of the launch, where the brand unveiled the design, colour options, and more importantly, its power. The OnePlus 13 can indeed be the most powerful smartphone from the brand so far because it is confirmed to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which is a major upgrade over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It comes with two prime cores that are clocked at 4.32 GHz clock speed and six performance cores at 3.53 GHz clock speed. For better understanding, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s prime core is clocked at 3.3 GHz clock speed so you can see why the OnePlus 13 can boast some serious power.
Moreover, according to pictures we saw on X (formerly Twitter), the OnePlus 13 has scored over 3 million on AnTuTu. Even the latest iPhone 16 Pro Max scored below 2 million. Further, the OnePlus 12’s AnTuTu score was also around 1.7 million. Along with Snapdragon 8 Elite, the OnePlus 13 will also boast up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Next, the design and colour options of the OnePlus 13 have also been officially revealed. The OnePlus 13 will also feature a design similar to that of its predecessors. However, it will come with a flat display this time and feature a boxy frame just like we saw on other flagship devices such as Samsung Galaxy S24, iQOO 12, and more. Coming to colour options, the OnePlus 13 will come in White, Black, and Blue colours.
So these are the OnePlus 13 details that have been officially confirmed. As far as the India launch is concerned, OnePlus hasn’t talked anything about that but the phone is expected to launch in India in January 2025.
