After a really long wait, OnePlus has finally announced the global launch of its upcoming flagship- OnePlus 13. The company has also announced the Indian launch. The flagship smartphone will drop in January 2025. During the event: OnePlus will also announce the OnePlus 13R and new wireless earbuds. With the new flagship lineup, the company is also promising some big upgrades. Here are some major upgrades that we can expect this time.
With the OnePlus 13, the company has added some more features to enhance the overall flagship experience.
The OnePlus 13 will run on the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. We can expect a 40% improvement in CPU and GPU performance over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which powers the OnePlus 12. This upgrade promises smoother multitasking, faster processing, and improved gaming experiences.
The OnePlus 12 previously sported a curved design. Compared to that, the OnePlus 13 can come with flat sides and a flat screen to give a more boxy look as many other brands are going with this time. It can be slightly curved from all four sides. Additionally, the glass back can be replaced with a leather panel, reducing the weight by 3g.
The OnePlus 12 is powered by a 5400mAh battery. With the OnePlus 13, we can get to see a bigger 6000mAh battery. The charging speed can remain the same 100W.
To make the OnePlus 13 even more durable, it can feature a Crystal Shield super-ceramic glass for enhanced scratch resistance. This is a step up from the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 used in the OnePlus 12.
Lastly, the OnePlus 13 is expected to carry an upgraded Vapor Cooling system for better heat management.
