During the launch of the OnePlus 12 in India, OnePlus unveiled the very exciting OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition smartphone. Since then, I have been patiently waiting for it to be released in India, The wait is finally over. The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition is now available in the country. Now the million-dollar question is, what is different in this smartphone? To know that, stick around as I will tell you how it differs from the standard OnePlus 12R in the market.

The specifications of both of these smartphones are the same. What sets this one apart is the fact that it comes in a unique Electro Violet colour combo. The rear panel of the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact also features a violet colour and Keqing, a character in the game, inspires the design. It has an AG matte glass back panel. You can even spot silvery white feather motifs on the panel, an Electro Element, and the lightning stiletto design which is Keqing’s signature. And at the bottom, you can see the word “KEQING” written and on the top edge too, a text has been carved which would reflect light and project the engraving.
Now this was all about the body, but the UI also comes with some customisations, all inspired by the videogame. You will find elements of Teyvat, which is the fantasy map from the video game. You can customise the app icons, there’s a different charging animation, a really cool-looking always-on display, and much more. And obviously, this smartphone is optimised for gaming.

But wait, that’s not all. You even get a violet-coloured charging adapter with Electro Element and Lightning Stiletto logos along with a violet USB-C charging cable, instead of the staple red cable.
Now one more thing that makes both smartphones different, and I think it affects your choice the most. I am talking about the prices of the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition and the OnePlus 12R. The former with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage is available in India at a price of ₹49,999. Whereas, the same variant of standard OnePlus 12R is available at a price of ₹45,999.
Sounds fun right? It looks twice as crazy. Head to our Instagram page if you would like to see its unboxing.
