OnePlus’ latest flagship is all set to launch in India today (January 23) at 7:30 PM. The smartphone will directly compete with the Samsung Galaxy S24, Vivo X100 Pro, and iQOO 12, which are also the latest flagship smartphones in India. Moreover, the OnePlus 12 launched in China in December 2023. The smartphone is said to bring a lot of upgrades including display, camera, battery, and more. Here is the list of some big upgrades in the OnePlus 12 that we expect.
OnePlus 12 display
The display is one of the major and highlighted upgrades of the OnePlus 12. It is expected to feature a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display. Last year, the OnePlus 11 had a 6.7-inch LTPO3 AMOLED display. Furthermore, the OnePlus 12 might have 4500 nits of peak brightness, whereas, the OnePlus 11 has only 1300 nits of peak brightness.

OnePlus 12 performance
The OnePlus 12 will most likely run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The same processor that was used in the iQOO 12 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Along with that, it will likely run on the latest Android 14-based skin OxygenOS and could offer up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
OnePlus 12 camera
This is what I am personally excited about. I have seen the camera of the OnePlus Open and it was great. One thing that made it great was the 64-megapixel Telephoto sensor and we are expecting a 64-megapixel ‘Periscope Telephoto’ sensor in the OnePlus 12 as well. This could come with a 3x optical zoom. Along with that, the OnePlus might feature a 50-megapixel OIS main camera and a 48-megapixel Ultrawide lens with Hasselblad tuning.
On the front as well, there is an upgrade. The OnePlus 12 is reportedly getting a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. In the OnePlus 11, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
