One important feature, Audio Eraser, will be missing for Galaxy S23 users. Let’s take a look at all the details of the One UI 7 update.
One UI 7 release date and eligible devices
The One UI 7 update will start rolling out on April 7, initially covering the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Samsung has not shared exact rollout times.
For older devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and select Galaxy tablets, the update will arrive gradually, likely between late April and early May, according to leaks.
Personalised interface: A cleaner redesigned UI, updated widgets and lock screen elements, along with enhanced customisation options.
Now Bar: First introduced with the Galaxy S25 series, this feature provides real-time updates on the lock screen, like workout progress.
Smarter AI features: Includes AI Select (convert videos to GIFs from the Edge Panel), Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, Audio Eraser and more.
Google Gemini integration: Bixby will be replaced by Google Gemini, enabling natural language voice commands via long-pressing the side button.
Improved search in settings: Users will be able to search settings using natural phrases, such as “My eyes feel tired”, to find relevant display options.
