ZTE's Nubia sub-brand has announced Z17 Mini, a new smartphone with dual rear camera setup in China. While Nubia M2 was the company's first smartphone with dual rear camera setup, the new Nubia Z17 Mini lies in the upper mid-range segment, priced at 1,699 Yuan.
Nubia's smartphone lineup mostly got cameras right so far and with Z17 Mini, the company is offering dual rear cameras. The handset sports dual 13MP sensors on the back, with f/2.2 aperture and sapphire glass protection. The rear camera also supports various modes like portrait mode and black-and-white camera mode. The selfie camera is a 16MP unit with an 80 degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture.
In terms of hardware, the Nubia Z17 Mini features a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone comes in two variants: 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, powered by the Snapdragon 652 processor and 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, powered by the Snapdragon 653 SoC. The smartphone also supports external storage up to 200GB via a microSD card slot.
Nubia Z17 Mini runs Nubia UI 4.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and offers connectivity options like WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. The smartphone is backed by a 2950mAh battery and will go on sale starting April 13. The 4GB RAM variant is priced at 1,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 17,000), while the 6GB model will retail for 1,999 (approximately Rs 20,000).
