Nubia's entry-level smartphone, the N1 Lite has been launched in India. The handset is priced at Rs 6,999 and will be available from May 22 exclusively on Amazon India. The handset is a smaller sibling to the Nubia N1, that the company launched in December last year.
The Nubia N1 Lite features a 5.5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. It comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage with support for expandable storage up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
"Nubia is committed to offer best in class technology across all price points to its customers in India. We are known for our camera technology across the globe and with N1 Lite we are offering category first front soft light flash and fingerprint scanner," stated Eric Hu, Country Head for Nubia India.
On the camera front, it sports an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and four element lens. There is also a 5MP front camera with f/2.8 aperture, 84-degree wide angle lens, front flash and support for camera beauty filters. The handset is 8.4mm thick and weighs around 171 grams. The smartphone is backed by a non-removable 3000mAh battery and will compete against other similarly priced devices like Xiaomi's recently launched Redmi 4 smartphone.
