Nothing as a brand is known for its quirky designs, particularly the Glyph Light setup that other brands don’t offer. Now, recent leaks suggest Nothing is gearing up to expand its smartphone lineup. If rumours are to be believed, the smartphone maker is currently working on three new models. The smartphones in question are: Phone 3a, Phone 3a Plus, and CMF Phone 2 from the company’s affordable lineup. The higher-end Phone 3 seems to be missing in action.
A SmartPrix report reveals that the IMEI database hints at the upcoming Phone 3a, Phone 3a Plus, and CMF Phone 2. These devices go by the model number A059, A059P, and A001, respectively on the database. The data also gives us a hint at the specs that we can expect with Phone 3a. It is codenamed Asteroids.
From the data, we can infer that the Phone 3a can feature a 1080p front-facing camera with a 29mm focal length. However, it will record at 30fps which is a downgrade from the 60fps capabilities of the Phone 2a.
On the rear, the Phone 3a could support 4K video recording at 60fps, slow-motion video at up to 480fps in 1080p, and advanced modes like “Super Macro,” “Super EIS,” and “Super Night Modes.” However, it appears the device will lack RAW file support. Furthermore, the Nothing Phone 3a can be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.
While we don’t know much about the Phone 3a Plus, just like last year it is expected to pack most of the features that Phone 3a has, along with some minor upgrades.
Meanwhile, the CMF Phone 2 is rumored to feature the same processor, potentially targeting a budget-conscious audience.
