Nothing smartphones are known for their sleek and minimal aesthetic. Well, we have been hearing that a new Nothing smartphone is under work and could drop soon. I am talking about the Nothing Phone (2a). This smartphone is expected to drop on March 5th in India. The smartphone will be an upgrade over the Nothing Phone (1) but will be a little cheaper than the Nothing Phone (2). Amidst all the rumours and speculations, Nothing has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2a) will be made in India. Let’s find out more about this.
Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, himself confirmed that the smartphones will be made in India. An X (formerly Twitter) user took to the platform and asked if the Nothing Phone (2a) would be manufactured in India. The CEO responded “Yup” to this query, confirming that indeed the smartphones will be manufactured in India.

This doesn’t really come as a shocker as we earlier officially heard of a Nothing factory in Chennai, Tamil Nadu ahead of the launch of the Nothing Phone (1). The company then announced that the smartphones that would be sold in India would be manufactured here.
Now coming to the smartphone, the company hasn’t revealed much officially. But Carl Pei has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2a) won’t be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200. It is expected that Nothing will reveal new details about the Nothing Phone (2a) today on February 20, 2023. But on the other hand, leaks and speculations reveal that the smartphone could fall under the sub-30k category in India.
