Nokia X to be priced at Rs. 8,500, available from March 15?
Nokia's much-awaited Android-based X smartphone is likely to be available in India from March 15.
Nokia’s Android-based X smartphone has been spotted on the e-retailer The Mobile Store. The site had listed the smartphone with a price tag of Rs. 8,500 and promised availability from March 15th. Interestingly, the current listing does not show the pricing and availability details.
According to reports, Nokia is holding an event on March 10 in India to officially announce the launch of the X smartphone. The company is expected to reveal the pricing at the event.
Nokia had unveiled three Android-based smartphones under its new X series at the recently held Mobile World Congress event. The smartphones are – X, X and XL. The company had promised to launch the Nokia X in India very soon. Read: The Nokia X Family: All You Need to Know
Nokia X listed without pricing details on The Mobile Store
The Nokia X had been priced at 89Euros, which is roughly Rs. 7,500. The X and XL are scheduled to hit stores in the second quarters of this year.

Apparently, there’s a huge excitement for Nokia’s Android smartphones. The Nokia X has a 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800×480. The Nokia X comes with 512MB of RAM on board.
Nokia says its X smartphone is capable of running 75% of Android apps. However, the smartphone does not feature key Google services such as Play Store and Maps, which has been replaced with Nokia’s Here Maps. Recently, hackers rooted the X smartphone to run these key Google apps.
