Nokia to unveil ‘more Lumia’ devices at Build conference
The inaugural day of Microsoft's Build Conference will see new Lumia devices from Nokia.
Nokia is set to make some major announcements at Microsoft’s Build conference. Even as Internet is abuzz with speculation for new devices, Nokia has just sent out press invites confirming/hinting at “#moreLumia” to be announced on April 2 at the conference.
“What makes 2014 so special is the exciting Microsoft and Nokia partnership, and boy, have we got some treats lined up for you,” says Nokia in its invitation.
According to reports, Nokia may announce two new Lumia handsets – Lumia 930 (Martini) and Lumia 630 (Moneypenny). The Lumia 930, considered to be a GSM variant of the Lumia Icon, is expected to feature a 4.5-inch display, 2.2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 20 megapixel camera and a 2700 mAh battery.
The Nokia Lumia 630 is considered as the Lumia 620. The smartphone will feature dual-SIM option, 4.3-inch WVGA screen, Snapdragon 400 chipset and 5MP camera.
In addition to the new Lumia devices, Microsoft is expected to reveal more information about Windows Phone 8.1 platform. According to reports, the new WP 8.1 will feature a personal digital-assitant rival to Google Now and Siri, codenamed “Cortana.” It also is expected to include built-in VPN support, updated camera functionality, IE11 and more.
