Nokia N8 starts shipping, Espoo crosses its Symbian^3 fingers
Despite numerous rumours to the contrary, Nokia has begun shipments of its first, and premier, Symbian^3 device, the Nokia N8. Set to take on the world’s best smartphones and mobile operating systems, the N8 represents Nokia’s first trump card to get back in to the smartphone game, and you can be sure a lot of hopes are invested in it, and a lot of crossed fingers.
[RELATED_ARTICLE]Just as it announced earlier this month, Nokia’s N8 has begun shipping right on time, on the 30th of September. While how users receive the Symbian^3 OS is yet to be seen, we are sure the Nokia N8’s 12MP camera will make a lot people sit up in awe. Other features like USB-on-the-Go, the solid build quality, responsive touchscreen, and HDMI out will also help it chalk up some points. Many Nokia fans however may choose to wait for the company’s MeeGo offerings, and if you are looking for something completely new (unlike the very, very familiar but capable Symbian^3) from Nokia, then you are probably waiting too.
