Nokia’s best-selling Windows Phone 8 smartphone – the Lumia 520 will be getting a sequel in the Lumia 525, which the Finnish manufacturers have made official.
The Lumia 525 comes loaded with double the RAM at 1GB and thus will be able to run more apps than its predecessor which was shackled as a lot of apps on the Windows Store are incompatible with 512MB RAM smartphones. Along with additional RAM, the Lumia 525 will also come with Windows Phone 8 with the Lumia Black update out of box. The rest of the specs are similar to its predecessor – it packs a 1430mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD card, a dual core 1GHz Snapdragon S4, a 5MP camera without flash along with apps like Nokia’s Here Maps, Drive and Transit.
Though, Nokia hasn’t made any official announcements on availability and price, it’s likely that the Lumia 525 will be launched in time for the holiday season along with the Lumia 1520.
