Nokia Lumia 1000 flagship appears online, expected at MWC 2013
Leaked information on the Internet suggests that Nokia is working on another flagship Lumia device, the Lumia 1000, expected to be unveiled at MWC 2013 along with the rumoured Lumia 720 and 520.
The Nokia Lumia 1000 has been spotted on a Chinese-carrier, China Mobile’s website. No other information is known about the device except the model number. Judging by the history of smartphones launched by Nokia, this may just be the next flagship Windows Phone 8 device from Nokia.
Rumour mills were hard at work suggesting that Nokia is working on the next flagship Lumia device that will house the 41MP PureView camera found on the Nokia 808 PureView. In the past we have heard that that Nokia was working on a device codenamed EOS that is expected to have the same 41-megapixel PureView camera. You can read details of that story here.
Information circulating the internet also suggests that the device will be unveiled at MWC 2013 along with the rumoured Nokia Lumia 720 and 520, two devices that were also featured in the same round or rumours – the Lumia 720 is expected to be another mid-range (WP8) device, and the Lumia 520 another budget (probably WP7.8) device.
All the rumours will be put to rest once the Mobile World Congress kicks off on February 25, 2013.
