HMD global announced the Nokia 3310 at MWC 2017 and the device got a lot of attention for its retro feel (makes you 80’s born people feel old, doesn't it?). The phone will be available in a number of vibrant colours including Warm Red, Dark Blue, Yellow, and Grey colours. But it looks like HMD global is looking for something more with the Nokia 3310.
On its official Nokia Mobile Instagram page the company has said, “Artists, designers, illustrators…let the creativity begin! Submit your artwork using #3310art for the chance to receive a one of a kind Nokia 3310 featuring your art. The competition has been extended until May 10. Keep them coming! T&Cs apply. #instaart #design #illustrate #win”
As you can see, the deadline for submitting artwork for the Nokia 3310 is May 10. The entries will be judged by HMD Global and a UK based design studio, I Love Dust.
The new Nokia 3310 is a mix of the original design, with some new elements thrown into the mix. It is expected to launch in India in June. The device has a 2MP rear camera, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 2G connectivity, and Nokia Series 30+ OS. The device also features the endangered 3.5mm audio jack. It sports 16MB expandable storage via microSD card, up to 32GB. The entire package is powered by a 1200mAh battery. The company promises that the device will offer talktime up to 22 hours and a standby time of up to 31 days. Thats a lot more than what modern smartphones can offer.
