Nokia details Symbian Belle operating system [video]

Updated on 25-Aug-2011

Nokia has finally introduced the latest version of the Symbian mobile operating system – Symbian Bellefour short months after it introduced the world to Symbian Anna. According to Nokia, Symbian Belle “looks and works better than ever before,” and as for its aesthetics, we’ll have to agree with Nokia. You’ll have to wait till we get some hands-on time with a Symbian Belle device for our impressions about its performance.

Interestingly, the Belle update is not meant only for the two hitherto released Symbian Anna devices (the X7-00 and E6, excluding the unreleased Nokia 500), but also for the first generation of Symbian^3 phones – the N8, E7, C7, and C6-01. Newly shipped versions of all six above mentioned models will now come with Symbian Belle pre-installed.

Those looking to download the update right away, will have to wait for a while till its released – or in the meanwhile, enjoy the Symbian Anna update if you haven’t already installed it, which is already available.
