Nokia copies Samsung’s anti-iPhone 5 campaign
The “my phone is bigger, better than yours” war just got a little more intense – Nokia has now decided to take on the iPhone 5, Samsung style.
Yesterday, Apple fan boys took to heart a print ad launched by Samsung that compares the iPhone 5 with the Galaxy S III. The print ad saw some edits by Apple fan boys who were unhappy with the “unfair comparison”. You can read that story here.
Now, Nokia is joining the party, declaring that its Lumia smartphone is better than Apple’s iPhone 5. Nokia tweeted, “Lumia 920: Wireless charging, amazing camera, screen you can use with gloves on and much more. No, it doesn’t take a genius. #switchtolumia.”
Created by Nokia fan boys, the unofficial Nokia Lumia 920 versus the iPhone 5 comparison goes on to contrast the two devices in the exact same fashion that the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III were compared.
The comparison has some pretty interesting listings like Apple Siri vs Nokia TellMe, iCloud 5GB free storage vs Nokia 7GB SkyDrive storage and more.
Samsung went with a tagline that said, “It doesn’t take a genius… The next big thing is already here Samsung Galaxy S III”
Nokia fan boys on the other hand weren’t that creative and have gone with a tagline that says, “Flyweight contender meet the heavyweight champion”.
The competition of flagship smartphones is heating up and consumers are spoilt for choice as to which device they want to get their hands on this holiday season. We have created a comprehensive hardware and feature comparison between the iPhone 5, HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S III, LG Optimus 4X HD and the Nokia Lumia 920..
