Nokia finally bids adieu to MeeGo and Symbian, the Finnish giant officially confirmed the end of an era via the official Symbian Team account on Twitter.
The deadline has been approved and the Ovi store will not accept any more apps, which means that developers will no longer have access to provide updates or new apps in the Ovi Store. However, devs will still be getting revenue for their apps and all apps currently available will still be available for download.
So, basically your device is still worthy as the Ovi Store is still open, however these are signs for Symbian owners to look for other options.
That was it; we are officially closed. Thank you all for the past years!
