Nokia 8.2 with pop-up camera might launch before 2020, Nokia 5.2 in tow
Nokia 8.2 is rumoured to launch by December 2019.
The smartphone might come equipped with a pop-up camera setup.
Nokia 5.2 is also said to be in development.
HMD Global launched its Nokia 8.1 smartphone in December 2018 and it could follow up with a Nokia 8.2 this year. As per a new report by NokiaMob, it seems like the company is gearing up to announce the Nokia 8.2 before the year ends. In addition, there could also be the Nokia 5.2, which would succeed the Nokia 5.1, and it might sport a design similar to the recently announced Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 handsets. There’s no information on a precise launch date of the two phones.
However, the Nokia 8.2 is expected to be launched before 2020, and there’s also a chance that the Nokia 5.2 announcement could be pushed to MWC 2020. The Nokia 8.2 could be powered by a Snapdragon 700 series processor and come equipped with a “unique” front camera setup. The handset could be equipped with a pop-up front camera module, which if turns out to be true, will be a first for the company. However, we advise our readers to take the info with a pinch of salt since we can’t be sure of the leak’s accuracy.
As mentioned above, Nokia launched the new Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 smartphones in India in September, 2019. Both handsets feature the same high-end build and design we have come to expect from Nokia handsets. The Nokia 7.2 sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ waterdrop PureDisplay with HDR10 support and runs on the Snapdragon 660 SoC. It sports a triple camera setup on the back that features a 48MP camera with f/1.79 lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth camera. On the front is a 20MP camera with Zeiss optics.
The Nokia 6.2 sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ waterdrop display with HDR10 support and it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. The handset sports a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth camera. On the front is an 8MP camera.
