Nokia 6, the first Android smartphone from Nokia-licensee HMD Global is reportedly getting the Nougat 7.1.1 update. The update brings latest security patch for the month of April and other bug fixes. The update also enhances the power saving feature with new background management, and brings support for 4G/3G dual SIM standby along with updated Nokia USB driver.
To recall, The Nokia 6 was first announced exclusively for Chinese market in partnership with retailer JD.com. At MWC 2017, HMD Global announced a global version of the Nokia 6 along with the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 smartphones. HMD is expected to launch Nokia 3, 5 and 6 in 120 markets by Q2 2017
The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The smartphone was initially offered only in 4GB RAM, 64GB storage option, but is now also available in 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant. The handset sports a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera. It features a unibody metal design and comes with non-removable 3000mAh battery. The smartphone supports fast-charging and is available in Arte Black, Matte Black, Tempered Blue, Silver, Copper colour options.
