Nokia 6 global variant gets certified ahead of MWC 2017 launch
Nokia is expected to launch four handsets at the Mobile World Congress on February 26
Nokia is all set to announce a global variant of its Nokia 6 smartphone. A purported handset with model number TA-1003 has got certified in Taiwan. According to Nokiapoweruser, this handset will be announced as an international variant at MWC 2017 later this month.
A VentureBeat report yesterday confirmed that HMD will finally bring Nokia 6 to markets other than China. The company is also tipped to introduce Nokia 3, 5 and 3310 feature phone at MWC. The handset with model number TA-1003 also received Bluetooth certification recently.
Nokia 6 is the first smartphone developed in collaboration with HMD Global. The smartphone is available only in China from JD.com, an e-commerce platform. HMD Global recently said the demand for Nokia 6 is surpassing supply. To recall, Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. Nokia 6 sports a 16MP rear shooter and an 8MP front camera.
Nokia 6 comes with a 3000mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone might launch at €249 (approximately Rs 18,000) in the European market. Nokia 6 is already listed on ebay.in via third party resellers at Rs 32,440. The listing says that the smartphone will be delivered 25 days after booking.
