Nokia 6 flash sale starts at 12PM today on Amazon India, pre-registration required for purchase

The Nokia 6 is going on a flash sale today. Before you get all excited and log on to Amazon India, you need to read this. The Nokia 6 page on Amazon reads, “Only customers who have registered on or before 28th August, 2017 are eligible for today's sale. Please sign-in to your Amazon.in account to buy. Customers who have already registered for the sale on 23rd August or 30th August need not register again for the sale on 6th September.” So, if you haven’t registered for today’s sale, then it’s a bummer. If you have, then there are a bunch of interesting offers for you. Amazon India Prime members will get Rs 1000 back in the form of Amazon Pay balance. All Nokia 6 customers who sign into the Kindle app will get 80 percent off on kindle e-books up to a maximum of Rs 300 off. Those that pick up the Nokia 6 get Rs 2500 off on Make My Trip (Rs 1800 on hotels and Rs 700 on flights). Last but not least, Vodafone users get 45GB free data spread across 5 months.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full HD display with Corning's Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone sports a metal unibody design and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 chipset. The smartphone comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. The Nokia 6 gets a 16MP primary camera with phase detect autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and dual tone flash. It also sports an 8MP selfie shooter with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and support for 84-degree wide field of view. The smartphone supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, a dual speaker with Dolby Atmos and a 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia 6 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will get the Android O update once it’s made available. The smartphone houses a 3000mAh battery and is available in matte black, tempered blue and silver colour options. This isn’t the first time the Nokia 6 has gone on sale. For its sale on August 23 the device received 1 million registrations.
Nokia recently announced the Nokia 8, its flagship smartphone at an event in London. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 835 platform, and also sports 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The storage is expandable to 256GB via a microSD card. While the phone is available in four color variants, there is a fifth colour called the Gloss Blue, which features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone features a 13MP dual camera setup at the back. One camera is an RGB sensor whereas the other is a monochrome sensor. The primary RGB sensor is supported by OIS and both cameras use ZEISS optics. The front facing camera uses a 13MP sensor with PDAF (phase detection autofocus). Nokia has also fitted this camera with ZEISS optics. The Nokia 8 runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box.
