Nokia 3, 6, 9 and 3310 get price, release date in UK. India dates remain unknown
All four devices are slated to go on sale in June this year in the UK with prices for the Nokia 3 starting at GBP 149.99 (approximately Rs. 12,500)
UK phone retailer, Clove Mobiles, has listed the four Nokia phones on its website for pre-orders, confirming a June launch in the country. The four Nokia devices include Nokia 3, 5, 6 smartphones and the Nokia 3310 feature phoens. All of which were announced back at MWC by HMD Global. While the Nokia 6 is already available in China, this is the first time Nokia’s Android based smartphone has been listed outside the country. The new 3310 on the other hand has been available for pre-order in the UK, Germany and Austria.
According to the listing, Nokia 3 and 5 will be available on June 30, at GBP 149.99 (approximately Rs. 12,500) and GBP 189.99 (approximately Rs. 15,800) respectively. The Nokia 6 is due to launch in June as well, and is priced at GBP 229.99 (approximately Rs. 19,100). As for the Nokia 3310, the list price is GBP 59.99 (approximately Rs. 5,000) and it is slated to launch sometime in the middle of June.
While there have been various speculations about the launch of these Nokia devices in India, the launch dates and prices haven't been confirmed yet. However, we do know that Nokia plans to re-establish the brand in India and may manufacture all its phones via Foxconn’s plant in the country. Nokia also told us that they are reworking its retail and distribution strategies alongside reestablishing its chain of service centres. We are expecting the devices to launch in India in June or July.
In addition to these four phones, rumours of a bezel-less smartphone called Nokia 8 are also making the rounds. The smartphone is tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC and could be the flagship Nokia phone for the year. Like most flagships, this rumoured phone is expected to feature a 2K display, 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage options. Rumours also suggest that Nokia 8 will have 24MP camera with optical image stabilization and may cost Rs. 35,000.
