Nokia 106 and 107 to launch this quarter in China

Nokia has officially announced the Nokia 106 and 107 and the two phones are all set to launch this quarter in China. Both the phones run on the Series 30 platform.

Nokia has unveiled two feature phones, the Nokia 106 and the Nokia 107. The Nokia 107 boasts of dual-SIM capabilities and both the phones work on the Series 30 platform. Both the devices have a 1.8-inch TFT display.

In terms of their design, both the phones are identical. Both, the Nokia 106 and the 107 measure 112.9mmx47.5mmx14.9mm and showcase dust and spill resistant keypads. Both the phones house an FM radio and LED flashlights.

The Nokia 107 is on the heavier side weighing 75.8 grams and houses a 1020mAh battery. The company claims that the device will last for 36 days of standby time. The Nokia 106 on the other hand houses an 800mAh battery which the company claims will last users for up to 35 days of standby time. The 106 is lighter weighing 74.2 grams. The difference in weight is due to the size of the battery housed in the phones.

The Nokia 107 dual-SIM also shows off a microSD card slot with the ability to house a maximum capacity, 16GB card. Nokia says that customers can store up to 3,000 songs on it. The device has the ability to last for 34.8 hours of music playback.

Excluding tax and subsidies, the Nokia 107 dual-SIM is priced at $25 (Rs. 1,623 approx.) whereas the Nokia 106 is priced at $23 (Rs. 1,493 approx.). The Nokia 106 and Nokia 107 dual-SIM will hit store shelves in China in Q3 2013 and there is no information on whether the two phones will see the light of day in India.
