Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 to be reportedly unveiled on Oct 15

Google is holding an event on October 15 and is expected to release its next generation Nexus devices.

Google is reportedly going to officially announce its much talked about Nexus 9 tablet on October 15, a day before Apple announces its next iPad. According to reports, the Nexus 9 will be priced around $399. Reports further suggest the Nexus 6 will also be unveiled alongside the Nexus 9.

The latest information comes weeks after reports/rumours surfaced stating HTC is developing the next Nexus 9 device. Recently, the Nexus 9 was spotted on Taiwanese regulator website. The alleged screenshot of the certification document showed the Nexus 9 name clearly along with the 0P82100 model number.

Specifications of the Nexus 9 have already leaked. According to reports, the next Nexus tablet will be   powered by an Nvidia Tegra K1 64-bit SoC 2.5 GHz processor. It has an 8.9 inch Quah HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The HTC Nexus 9 is expected to come in 16 and 32 GB variants. It will have an 8 MP rear camera and inbuilt stereo-speakers. AnTuTu has confirmed that the tablet will support LTE connectivity.

Details about the Nexus 6 aka Shamu have also leaked to the Internet. According to reports, packing a 5.9 inch quadHD display at 1440p and will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.6GHz. It will come with 32GB of inbuilt storage and 3GBs of RAM. It is also rumored to have a 12MP rear camera with a 2MP camera at the front.
