A day after reports of the alleged India pricing for the Nexus 6 came out, Google has confirmed them on Google Play. The Nexus 6 has been listed on Google Play India with pricing at Rs. 44,000 for the 32GB variant and Rs. 49,000 for the 64GB version. The device is available in Midnight Blue and Cloud White versions.
This is in sync with reports earlier, which has said that the Nexus 6 would be priced within Rs. 50,000 for the 64GB model. The Google Play listing though puts the device under the ‘coming soon’ tag, which means that the official launch date is not yet confirmed. The device though is expected to be launched within this month, with December 10 being the upper limit for the launch date. The device had also been listed on Flipkart earlier with the coming soon tag.
The Nexus 6 is the first phone to run the new Android 5.0 Lollipop version and has been made by Motorola. Google had also started rolling out the OTA updates for this next version of Android, but has now delayed it owing to some glitches. Other manufacturers like Motorola, Sony and HTC have also confirmed the update on their devices.
It is also worth noting that the Nexus 6 had been put up for sale on the official Motorola website last night. The device is priced at $649 for the 32GB variant and $699 for the 64GB version. It has gone out of stock right now, but was available for quite some time yesterday.
